  5. Thank you for this pattern for my almost 2 year old great granddau. I too have been sewing my life long-I was 12 when I learned on a treadle machine. I made all my skirts for school. It was fun and easy, then I made my babies outfits and then clothing as they got older. I also sewed for all the grand kids and I used the patterns in my head. Now I make 11 1/2 inch doll clothes for the male and female dolls. I love what God showed me I could do.

  12. Hello, cute little skirt. I made one for my daughter, but the measurements for the waistband don't work for 1 inch elastic following your directions with folding and hemming one side. You either need to use 4 inches or smaller elastic. Will for the next one.

  13. I am very concerned with the finished length of this skirt. I am making a size 3. I take into consideration that the waist band is folded in half so it's really only 1-1/2", then add to that the 5.5" for the middle, and 4.5" for the ruffle, that gives me 11.5". Then I start taking out seams and hems, and I end up with an 8.5" skirt. That is VERY short for a three year old. Can you help me?

  14. This is a short skirt pattern and is supposed to hit above the knee. if you would require the skirt to be longer, you may increase the widths of the skirt body and ruffle by 1" each :)
